"Beach Boys" Dance/Concert - 8:00pm - 11:00pm
The fun begins this evening with our concert/dance featuring the world's most famous Beach Boys tribute band - The Landsharks -
who have actually played with, and/or opened for, the real Beach Boys as well as Jimmy Buffett, himself. The Landsharks are an eight piece band complete with a full horn section and an incredible steel drum player.
Enjoy a trip back to the 60's/70's via this incredible show complete with cash bars, dance contests with prizes and of course, the hits you've been singing all of your life. It all takes place at the Disney Coronado Springs Resort Hotel the night before the conference begins and is free for all registered attendees. The show begins at 8:00pm and ends at 11:00pm and is free for all registered attendees and their families.

Second Annual Focus 5-K Run/Walk

7:00am - 8:15am - Focus will be holding a 5-K adult run/walk immediately outside the entrance
of the Disney Coronado Springs Resort on the morning of May 13th, 2010. The race will be professionally conducted. There will be a 1st place
($100), 2nd place ($50) and 3rd place ($25) prize
awarded in both categories, that is, for runners and for
walkers. All adult participants will receive a commemorative
T-shirt as well. You must pre-register
for the adult run/walk on the conference registration form
Children's Race
The adult race will be followed by a special .75-mile run for children ages 7-12.
The children's race will begin at 8:15am. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes
(Disney gift cards) awarded for children and all child particpants will receive a
commemorative T-shirt and a certificate of
particpation. There is no fee to participate, and no need to pre-register a child to run in the race, simply report to the race table (located in the Casita Courtyard) no later than 8:00 am to register on-site. |
THURSDAY EVENING

Ironically,
one of the "complaints" about the FOCUS conference has been
that we provide so much entertainment each night, that attendees
don't always have an opportunity to fully explore the city they're visiting.
This year, then, we are not scheduling any entertainment functions on
the first night of the conference (Thursday night). This gives attendees a free night
to explore the nightlife of Orlando or perhaps visit a Disney, Universal or Sea World Park in the evening. Before you set off to explore Orlando, however, make sure to attend our gala opening reception in the exhibit hall which will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on this night. There will be tons of free Hors D'Oeuvres, free beer and soft drinks, lots of giveaways and door prizes, roving entertainment and of course, 150 exhibitors and recruiters ready to show your their wares. This is a fabulous three hour party - Don't miss it!
FRIDAY EVENING

Tonight's the night you
definitely don't want to miss! We’ll start our evening with another fabulous reception in
the exhibit hall where again there will be plenty of free Hors D'Oeuvres, beer, wine and soft drinks. Then, at 8:00pm, we’ll pick
the grand prize winner of the 2010 Ford Focus (or $10,000 cash).
Next up...at 8:30pm this evening, join us at Focus's hilarious Comedy Night, starring the Nurse-Anesthetist musical group The Laryngospasms, followed by the stand-up comedy of "Rodney Dangerfield" and "Joan Rivers" - a special night right at the Disney Coronado Springs Resort that is included in everyone's registration fee.
